- For the bottom bunk, you can use any Australian Standard mattress in conjunction with the size of the bed (for example, a standard single, king single or double). You can find our 'Noddy' mattress range here.
- For the top bunks, the ACCC recommends mattresses are a minimum of 15cm underneath the height of the safety rail to be the most effective for safety. From these recommendations, we suggest using our foam mattresses as they are a high density (firm) foam which are only 13cm in thickness.
- For a bunk with a trundle, we also recommend using our foam mattresses as they allow enough space for the trundle to easily slide under the bed. For the top bunks and trundle beds, you can find our foam mattresses here.
Please note, these recommendations are only based on the safety regulations set by the ACCC, but it comes down to your discretion of which mattress you would prefer to use on the top bunk, as you know your kids better than us and we know that their safety and comfort is your priority!
